Today is the big day for Britney Spears and the folks over at Good Morning America. She is not only celebrating her 27th birthday and dropping her new album Circus, but she also performed on GMA and announced a new world tour.

For the first time in five years, Spears will headline an arena tour beginning in 2009. The tour comes alongside the Louisiana native’s much anticipated sixth studio album, “Circus,” which was released today.

The album has already spawned the No. 1 hit single “Womanizer,” which Spears performed on “Good Morning America” today along with her new hit, “Circus.”

Spears’ tour will include 27 cities, beginning in her home state. Tickets go on sale Saturday, Dec. 6, and the well-choreographed Spears will begin rehearsing for next year’s must-see tour in January.
